Coming together as a community to raise funds for the Peter Pan Foundation

OUR MISSION: Raise $10,000! These funds are desperately needed so PPF may continue to bring love and joy to terminally and critically ill children at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and to make children's last wishes come true through the Make A Wish Foundation.

How Lafayette residents can support PPF

About PPF

Once upon a time, in a land far far away...

...there was a team of passionate performers who gave live shows all winter long for children living in hospitals and for large crowds all through the holidays.

The Peter Pan Foundation was founded in 2007 with a mission to give children the best environment to flex their creativity and explore their talents. This organization encourages confidence and passion in young people, both for the performers and for their audiences.

This year, Peter Pan Foundation performers have taken to Zoom to visit their audience of children living with terminal illnesses and bring light, laughter, and joy to their days. They have put on many virtual performances and the organization continues to provide solace for creatives of all ages. PPF holds their arms wide open to the LGBTQ+ community, people of color, and all marginalized members of the community with a wholly inclusive mission.

Our community here in Lafayette grows stronger as we lift one another up, whether that be by supporting local restaurants, shopping local as we give gifts this season, or just by sharing our favorite small businesses online. We are hurting, but we are listening to one another and reaching out a helping hand. This is how we come together.

Musical theater thrives on live performances with live audiences. And it has suffered this year - but the PPF family has found ways to grow in the face of county-wide shelter-in-places. Now we want to give back to them. Lafayette Social is coordinating multiple fundraising efforts for the Peter Pan Foundation with several wonderful local businesses this holiday season.
